Backyard Studio with Office
Designed as yoga and workout space with an office nook, this tiny house studio offers plenty of room for flexing: just roll out your mats and hang a TRX suspension trainer, and you will be ready to go! Need office space too? This tiny house has an office nook for a computer, desk and a chair, and shelving for books and other things.
BACKYARD STUDIO Gym and Yoga Option
A variety of floor options are possible in the Backyard Studio. Here it shown with a finished concrete floor. Other possibilities include a floating wood floor, sustainable cork, or even non-toxic foam gym tiles. And if you are like me, then you definitely like getting zany with things like handstands! Practicing outside is awesome in summer but what better place to work out regularly than in your own mini-gym and/or workout studio when it is raining or snowing? I seriously wish I had one right now as I head back north to my home state of Washington.
A Backyard Studio would be a great outbuilding as it offers a good amount of floor, ceiling and wall space for stretching, installing a TRX, setting up a dumbbell rack, or maybe even a weight bench. You might not be doing acrobatic flips like a capoeira but for most people, including me, this studio space would be perfect for keeping in shape.
Backyard Studio with Office and Sofa
As noted, the Backyard Studio has many uses beginning as a space for working out and doing some stretching or yoga. Here a fold-out sofa bed doubles as a place to chill out and also spend the night. And the nook offers room for a desk and shelving for books, plants, exercise equipment, etc.
Simple to Build and Maintain Exterior
Eliminating overhangs makes for an extremely simple build but that does not mean you need to skip the gutters. While not required in all climates, specifically snow and ice prone areas, gutters can be welcome in many places. The complete plan details how to effectively transition an eave-less roof into a gutter.
Covered Porch, Black Siding, Simple Construction
The exterior of the Backyard Studio plan has clean lines, tall windows, a shed roof, and optional natural wood siding, conferring a modern aesthetic that will settle comfortably among trees and other natural features. The studio has an unfussy, restrained exterior that allows it to stand alone as well.
